Wow! I’m still worn out from all the Merchant madness! I helped Allana move out of her apartment today, and all that physical exertion made me even more tired. I think I’d like to go back to a 4 nap schedule! Paw Paw called today with our weekend plans, and all I could think about was nighty night. Oh well, get ready for round 2!

Nothin' Doonan

With all the activity going on this week, we welcomed a peaceful relative free day around here. In fact, no pictures were even taken so I’m posting one from yesterday. Oh yeah, when I say “doing” it comes out as “doonan” which should help explain the title of today’s blog. Well, I’ve got to go help Daddy search through 18,236 photographs we have in our archive to share some memories with Aunt Mindy. We might have to buy more memory for her home computer to fit them.

The chaos continues! We were supposed to go to some amusement park for kids, but since the heat index is hovering around 150 degrees, we decided to skip that and go to Rusan’s. Mommy made us Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches since raw eel isn’t exactly kid friendly food.

Today me, Mommy, Daddy, Amma, Aunt Mindy, Maya, Lindsay, Bailey, Allana, Cameron, CiCi, Aunt Gabriele and Taylor went to the Georgia Aquarium. How long do you think it took for Daddy to get overwhelmed and make Mommy mad? If you said one hour and eighteen minutes, give yourself a pat on the back. Now I know why his nickname is Poopy.

I’m not going to lie, spending time with The Merchants can be exhausting! I’m too tired to tell you about all the fun we had going to see WALL-E at the movies. Daddy’s too stuffed from eating three helpings of King Ranch Chicken to even post more than one picture. Well, we better get to sleep, because we have a full week left of this craziness to rest up for. Does Pedialyte make an energy drink?

Summer Visit

It’s that time of year again when Aunt Mindy loads up the Minivan and invades Atlanta. We all met up at Amma’s today for some pizza and trouble making. Now that I’m a little older and sturdier, Daddy doesn’t feel like he has to follow me around all the time to make sure something terrible doesn’t happen.

We took the Bertelsens to the baseball game tonight and Uncle Chris was telling us some crazy stories about how the Braves used to be a good team way back before Rowen and I were born. Daddy says that when I’m all grown up I’ll be able to say I saw Chipper Jones play, which will be a big deal when he’s in the Hall of Fame. I’d like to be able to say I saw Tom Glavine and John Smoltz play, but I’m afraid they’ll never get of the DL.

Recently, I’ve decided to stop fighting the fact that we are going to have a new baby and just accept it. I thought a good thing for a big brother to do would be to test all the baby stuff we still have lying around the house. I found this pacifier behind my crib, which means it must must have been sitting there for months. Don’t worry Aunt Mindy, we ran it through the dishwasher first! It still works great, too!

I got another haircut today. In the past year, I think I’ve had about twice as many shears as Daddy. He’s not the best groomer you know.

Today we hung out at the pool, and I positioned myself in prime real estate for girl watching. Every time a young lady would walk past, I would give a sly little wave and say Hi. If Mommy were to ever get a job offer in L.A., I might be okay with that. I would need a cell phone, and perhaps a blue tooth ear piece.
